I absolutely love Homemade by Jill’s blog!  She has such great ideas for crafting and posts very clear and easy-to-follow tutorials.  If you have a minute, even if you aren’t very crafty, her pictures are fun to look at!
For a great example of what I’m talking about, check out her tutorial on making burp cloths – it includes a free printable pattern!
These would make great baby shower gifts – what about rolling them up individually and tying them each with a ribbon?

Wow, I haven’t written a “crafting away” post in quite a while… Things have been pretty busy around here for us!
Valerie over a Frugal Family Fun has a great tutorial on how to make your own scratch and sniff!
I thought for sure that it had to be some complicated process but it’s so easy!
This will be a fun one that Bubba and I will have to try… maybe we can make something fun to give out as favors at his and his Baby Sister’s upcoming birthday party!  I should keep …

If you’re like me, you’ve thought about all those cereal boxes that are getting thrown away and also thought that there surely had to be a good use for them.  Skip to My Lou has just the thing – Hanging Glitter Hearts!
Such a simple, easy and yet pretty idea!
Also, Skip to My Lou has a weekly link-up of craft tutorials on Mondays (tomorrow – I can’t wait!).  So many great blogs link to their crafty ideas… you might just come away overwhelmed by all the good ideas!

Make your own cake plate!

Friday night was Bubba’s second birthday party with hubby’s family.  I was really excited about the Train Build a Cake that we had put together to serve for the party…  Until I went to find a plate or something to put the cake on – and found that anything I had that was big enough was packed away in boxes due to our transitional living state!
So, I had to improvise.  And it actually ended up working really well – so much so that I’m going to keep this in mind for …

Remember the Easy Peasy Peanut Butter Cookies I told you about?  Well, I’m really wanting an excuse to make them – and including them in Valentine’s Day gifts is the best one I’m coming up with right now…
I did a little hunting around the Internet and found a template for one of those take-out boxesyou see in the craft store – like the one pictured above (minus the metal handle – maybe a pretty ribbon would work instead?).  My thought is to make a few of these out of some …

Wow, the great ideas just keep coming today!
How cute are these Ruffle Butt Onesies?!
I never thought I would be a fan of baby girl outfits that have the ruffly bottoms… that was until we had our Baby Girl.  Now I love them!
If you don’t have a serger, scroll down in the tutorial for other options for making these cute onesies.
These would make great gifts for a baby shower!

How smart is this idea for the little ones!?!
Get a great tutorial on how to make your own rain gutter book shelves at Raising Olives.
You might want to look around her site while you’re there – having 10 kids and homeschooling all of them, Kimberly has to know a thing or two about organization!

Okay, this idea is SUCH a good one if you have a spare wall in your house!
What a fun way to display the kiddos’ artwork!  And it’s surprisingly simple to create…
If you don’t have a whole wall to make magnetic – what about painting a square on the wall and nailing trimwork around it as a frame?
Check out how to make a magnetic wall here!

These Child’s Activity Bags are absolutely beautiful!  I wish that I had the time to set aside to make one of these for each of the kiddos.  What great gifts they would make, too!  Perhaps one day, when I have more time on my hands?
Or maybe I can make it a month-long 15-Minute Tackle?
